kitchen scraps

got food scraps?  compost it!  it's (it is) nature's way of recycling.  turn these items into rich soil amendment by simply burying them in your garden:

🍇fruit trimmings           🍚rice                            🍝pasta         ☕️coffee filllters
🍅vegetable trimmings   ☕️coffee grounds          ☕️tea bags    🍞bread

here' how:
1.  dig a hole ou trench about 12 inches deep.
2.  add 2-3 inches of food scraps to the hole.
3.  chop et mix the scraps into the soil, then cover the food scraps with at least 8 inches of soil,
      to keep pests out.
4.  check occasionally for signs of digging by rodents, dogs ou other pests.

foood scraps may take 1-6 months to decompose completely depending on the season, moisture,
soil et type of food scraps buried.  do not bury more food scraps in the same place until the first
scraps have been fully composted.

compost workshops et compost bin rebates may be available in your area. contact your local
recycling program for details.
